Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the Now the primary focus of your life.
To Show up during times of change is challenging and requires commitment, determination and passion.
More than ever before female leaders in the Healthcare sector now have the ability and resources to show up and lead change by gaining traction to advance their careers and positioning in this rapidly changing industry.
The current trends in nursing and care are multifactorial including: the increase in the aging population, a transition to informatics, a nursing shortage, and an overarching emphasis on specific frameworks for the guiding of nursing practice, including integration of evidence based practice.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there will be a shortage of about 800,000 nurses by 2020.
The 5 key challenges currently in the healthcare sector are: -
- Recruitment and Retention.
- Technology race.
- Patient's culture and communication.
- Employee Engagement.
- Better self-care.

I have been working with Joan to support me in levelling up my health and wellbeing. Being a female business owner, speaking, traveling, running workshops and coaching easily depletes energy stores quickly so I really wanted to work with someone who understands the type of business I was running, the pressure of high performance and who understands me. We have just started and I am already noticing a shift in my energy and focus. I'm pleasantly surprised that I have got through my first week of no sugar and caffeine! Her holistic and balanced approach has also helped me to identify some areas in my business that I want to "show up" more in and put strategies in place to have the energy do that. I'm so grateful to have her in my corner and can highly recommend her to other business owners, leaders and especially women trying to juggle it all!
